What is wrong with this world?

One only has to look in today's newspaper to realize that there is something wrong with this place we call home. Floods, famines, disease, murder, rape, death, death, death and more death. Then on the other side of the coin you have wealth and health. These are the people that have their view focused horizontal. By this I mean they don't stop look up and stand in awe of this massive universe. See you have to realize that there is more to life than work, work, work, and money and fighting with your spouse, the list goes on and on.Stop for one second and look up. Realize the massive creation and then say to yourself...is my problems and my concerns really that important when it all boils down to it...Think about this....a man just spends half a million dollars on a brand new house, greed runs his life..all he can think about is millions and millions of dollars..the day after purchasing his new home he drops dead from a massive heart attack...gone. Just like that..See you come into this world with absolutely nothing and you are going to be leaving it empty handed as well. All you hold dear in life..family, friends, your job, your materials, all of it will be ripped from your hands when the cold hand of death knocks on your door.Is it really worth stressing over..or consider this...a man and wife get into a fight the husband yells at her, leaves, slamming the door behind him..she breaks down in tears and he leaves tearing up the street only to come to a halt as a tractor trailer collides head on and kills him instantly. No goodbyes and "I love you" no last words of comfort only the icy cold hand of death. A murderer, a rapist, a robber or anyone else who commits crime. Is it really worth it? The long arm of the law snatches you from your "life" of crime and throws you into prison or jail. What were to happen if you suddenly died in there..what a great way to spend the last of your life. See friends the point I am trying to get to is this....LOVE...it is the only answer to these issues we face. Millions of dollars are spent towards the stupidest things..such as sports entertainment..golfers getting paid millions to put a little white ball into a hole....as the ball drops into the hole somewhere out there a body is being dropped into a hole as well..dying unnecessary from starvation while these people lavish in there brand new cars and fancy outfits which of course won't be going to the grave with them...maybe an outfit but besides that...People need to get over themselves and start living the way God wants us to live...shelter the homeless, feed them, care for the orphans and widows...LOVE..stop worrying about petty things that don't matter...it's not worth it...We need to stop this horizontal viewing of the world and start a vertical life or we might not have the life we want after death...Remember this is not our final home and as Christians we are aliens to this place..this is foreign to us. "My kingdom is not of this world" Jesus once said, so as Christians we are not of this world..we need to start acting like it...get over ourselves and start living the life that Jesus told us to live.."If you claim to live as He did, then you should walk as Jesus did." Let's get it done....LOVE is eternal. It's all that matters in the end.
God Bless you all

Confusion

Something that I find most frustrating when it comes to the things of God is "confusion". I am not saying that God is causing this confusion because the bible clearly states otherwise. What does frustrate me the most is men of God throwing us in a loophole with their interpretation of what such and such a verse means only to add to the confusion of the rest of other men of God and their teachings. So what conclusion should one come to? Well for starters since God is not the author of confusion and these men claim to be Godly men than they must be liars or self transformed and not really sent from God at all. If they weren't sent from God then they must have another source. Most of these bible thumpers are money hungry bible teachers who twist God's word to get rich. They tell you that God wants you to prosper and if you send them enough money you'll receive the blessing. So like blind sheep they do so willingly hoping for a big wad of cash to appear..(makes you wonder what they love most). Then they get a bunch of phonies on television telling the world how they got a bunch of money in the mail. Well so do I, it's called a GST check and income tax. These people probably get paid to run on stage and come up with some ridiculous story. Then you get some other persons hopes up who is watching these false teachers. It's just a vicious circle, that's all it is.Open the book of Revelation and listen to all these different interpretations from these so called "men of God" and you'll know exactly where I stand with it all.

Communion

When we gather together as a group of believers and sometimes new or non-believers, we partake in what's called "communion" also known as "The Lord's Supper." I'm sure there are some people that are not 100% sure as to what the purpose and meaning behind it all is. As most of you are aware 2000 years ago a man lived by the name of Jesus Christ. This man, born of a vigin by the power of the Holy Spirit was God in the flesh. This man Jesus was crucified on a roman cross as a one-time for all sacrifice for our sins. In the Old Testament as a reconciliation for sins people were to sacrifice a lamb, now Jesus being the Lamb of God took our sins upon Himself when He was sacrificed for us. By believing and trusting in Jesus and repenting, not just confessing but turning away from sin God has provided this path that leads to eternal life. What does all this have to do with a cup of juice and a piece of bread? On the evening that Jesus was betrayed He sat around a table with His followers, in front of them were a loaf of bread and wine, some things that were everyday household items in His time. He took bread and said "This is My body given for you, do this in remembrance of Me." In the same way, after the supper He took the cup saying, "This is the new covenant in My blood, which is poured out for you." So there is a symbolic meaning to each of these items. The bread which He said was His body was a symbol of Him sacrificing Himself on the cross. The wine which He said was the new covenant in His blood was a symbol of His blood being shed for us. The old covenant required the sprinkling of blood on the altar for the atonement of sins. Now the new covenant was the shedding of Jesus blood once for all. So the basics of it is a remembrance of Christ's death, not His life, not the miracles, not the teaching, not even His resurrection, but His death. Why? Because that's the central message of Christianity, Jesus died...for us. He died on the cross so that those who trust in Him won't have to face the wrath of Almighty God on Judgement Day. Now this doesn't mean that we trust in Jesus and then run around and sin after we leave Church. That only makes us hypocrites. We must strive to be holy with the strength and power from Christ, for it is written, "Be Holy, For I am Holy." We are to live in the light of God's presence as is written in 1John 1:5-10 (New Living Translation): "This is the message He has given us to announce to you: God is light and there is no darkness in Him at all, so we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness. We are not living in the truth. But if we are living in the light of God's presence, just as Christ is, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, cleanses us from every sin. If we say we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and refusing to accept the truth. But if we confess our sin's to Him, He is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from every wrong. If we claimed we have not sinned, we are calling God a liar and showing that His word has no place in our heart." 2 Corinthians 13:5 says for us to examine ourselves to see if we are in the faith, so today before we partake of the Lord's Supper as one body "The Church" let us take time to ask God for forgiveness of our sins and to wash us clean and make is whole.
God Bless You All!
